HEY! I’M JEN

Th woman, mummy and photographer behind Bear and Bee Photography.

My passion is to capture all the love and emotion at such a special and fleeting time in your life.

I have 3 babies of my own so know how quickly those first days, weeks, months and then years go by.

This also means I am an expert baby cuddler and have the magic touch at getting your baby to settle.

I will capture your little one just as they are, no fancy props or over the top set ups.

I love to hear all about your journey to motherhood and getting to know you and your family. I guess that’s why so many of you leave as friends.

Frequently Asked Questions


What do i need to bring with me to the session?

Just your usual baby changing bag with nappies, wipes, milk etc. I have a lovely small collection of clothing for your little one, so please don’t worry about what they will wear, but do feel free to bring along any outfits you would like them photographed in.

I will sent out a welcome guide prior to your shoot which will provide you with lots of info on what to bring and what to expect.

when should i book my session?

For newborn photoshoot sessions, the sooner the better, anytime after your 20 week scan is perfect. I can only do so many sessions per month so please reach out early to make sure you don’t miss out.

What should I wear?

I will always encourage you to get in the photos with your baby and so to ensure the style of your photos stays timeless I suggest anything white, grey or pastel with no big prints or logos. This will look best against the white background I always shoot on.

I keep the studio warm to make sure baby is comfortable so layers are always a good shout in case you get too hot!

can siblings be photographed as well?

Absolutely! There is nothing cuter than your older children cooing over their new baby brother or sister. I will normally do sibling shots at the start of the session so they are not waiting around too long and getting bored.

If you are bringing older children it can be a good idea to ask your partner or other family member who may be coming along with you to take them for a wee wander while we concentrate on baby. Anstruther harbour is lovely to take a wee walk along and there is the local ice cream and chippys to keep them fed!

I also love to include all your fur-babies as well so all doggies are welcome at my studio.

where will the photo session take place?

Sessions take place in my cosy little studio in Anstruther, Fife. I also offer in home newborn sessions, an additional £50 is added to the cost of these session to cover set up time and my travel.

when will i see my photos?

About 2-3 weeks after your photo session I will send you an online gallery of all of the best images from the day and you can pick and order your chosen images in line with the collection you have selected. You will also have the opportunity to order any extra prints, albums or wall art.

how do i pay for my session?

When booking I will take a £50 deposit to secure your date. The rest of the fee is required 24 hours before your session. If you want to purchase any extra prints, frames or other wall art pieces these will be paid for after you have viewed and picked your photos.
